Tasting Notes
Nose
Very approachable with a moderate funk - as we approach heavier Jamaica territory. Banana pancakes and some grilled pineapple on the nose with some peaches in there too.
Palate
Fresh and zingy - this rum is very bright and alive for the age - it feels and looks like a much younger rum, but with the sophistication of something that has had almost 30 years to mature. It’s a tropical fruit salad with papayas, guava and mango... it’s incredibly moreish.
Finish
Caramelised bananas come back in on the finish, with a little cinnamon and pepper, some orange peel, a little hazelnut and toasted granola.
