New Arrival
We have blended two rums produced in Guyana’s last distillery, from contrasting stills. One was distilled in 2003 from a steel Coffey double-column still; the other in 2001 from a “Versailles” wooden pot still. Both have been aged in refill bourbon barrels.

“As Guyana’s sugar industry declined in the mid-1800s, and distilleries closed, a law was passed to preserve unique rum stills, till eventually the country’s production consolidated to one distillery with 13 different stills, so there is huge variety in styles to blend with. This is all depth, with sumptuous treacle, dark chocolate, prunes, fruit cake and spices.”
